Neil Moritz knows a thing or two about the biz. And one thing he knows for certain - kiddie horror fare works. His most recently accomplishment was producing the PG-13 thriller Prom Night. Yes indeedy - that certainly worked when it came down to coin.
According to Variety, Moritz is co-producing, with Scholastic Media's Deborah Forte, the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps for Sony's Columbia Pictures. Until now, the popular series has never reached the big screen. A live action television show ran in the '90s.
Mortiz and Forte are currently looking for a writer to deliver a script that will be put on the fast track. And naturally, there's talk of "franchise potential."
