In the script I'm writing, some may remember that my tutor was pleased with it... Well I'm still continuing the original story it came from and one of my main characters Jennifer is a vegan. Now thanks to Larsnxd I now know way more than i did before about Vegans. I knew they couldnt eat much but now I've got more of a handle on it. (Yeah you could say, if I was having difficulties that i should just stop her being a vegan, but I cant cause the character just is, no way round it lol)

Now she's pregnant at one point and gets cravings, so I'd love to know if anyone out there has come across or have had any weird random cravings when they were pregnant.

The obvious one i've went with for Jennifer the vegan is she is craving meat... yes obviously obvious but hey what else was I gonna do, lol!

What erratic behavior or emotions did you go through?

I've tried to read around reports and from how my mother was when she was pregnant with my ickle sister but she didnt do anything interesting if I'm honest.

I craved everything that was missing from my diet - so whatever vegans can't have but should - that's what she'll need - meat is a winner!
I was disturbed by the idea of being financially dependent on my husband - it kept me awake at night. Turned out to be an incredibly lucid thought and not erratic in the least! Later, I left him.
But I could never find my keys, purse or phone. I had no short term memory whatsoever!

wow speedy repsonse, and glad cause im up writing now so its great to add in things as i read them. i was thinking it was a bit phoebe of friends to crave meat (like when joey gives up his sandwiches so the same amount of meat is eaten if phoebe eats his sandwiches)

and wow at the leaving him thing, i wonder if you thought that your thoughts were irrational at the time but guess female intuition and all.

and its all helped, im trying to get it to be as real as possible.

i dont know what ways i want her to go emotionally as she did some messed up stuff to get pregnant and its like her last chance at happiness. but beside that i want what she goes through to be relatable.

i love the short term memory loss thing! since her partner has OCD, could be a delightful combination.

Short term memory loss - happened to me too!

Also, I'm a vegetarian and when I was pregnant I craved this traditional local soup, made of beans and sauerkraut (funky, I know!). I guess I was craving the proteins...

protein? hmmm and the soup was something you didnt have any interest in before.

glad to, and sorry for, hearing you suffered from short term memory loss just so its not a random thing i add that people would think was erm... random and just for comic value

Well, beans are not very ladylike, if you know what I mean ;)

Another thing popped into my mind: I had the taste of steel in my mouth constantly. I often ate (anything) just to get rid of the nasty taste. No need to add I gained a zillion pounds.

and if she's going to be eating food she doesn't usually eat i was going to have her pile on the pounds, so to speak...

and have her feeling eughy about her body image.
