I was told by a friend who works at a cinema that it really should be rated '15' and not '12A', something to do with the degree of violence in it and sexual refrences, and they were very sexual... not your teen rom com rubbish. My sister is 9, just (13th Nov actually) and she wasnt phased by it at all... tho that is to say I don't know what she would be phased by- Me, her and our mother sat watching 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2' and Leatherface comes out of some record store room in the radio shack very noisily with the chainsaw in full saw mode, and loud... now when i watched it alone and at night (not advised... the sound of the chainsaw is just too loud for the dead of night) I exclaimed... "Oh My!" or something a little more explicit and when we watched the same bit together my mum screamed... and "Oh My'd" as well, then looked at my sister who I'd been looking at, waiting for her reaction and she sat, legs crossed, head in the hands staring at the tv... unphased... when we asked her if she found it scary she replied "Well it's Leatherface, you'd expect it."
It made me wanna watch Xena, even the way he holds his sword is like Xena
and Beowulf was in an episode or two of Xena, but never did he look this good.

not that Angelina Jolie wasnt hot either...
